    Re the NPV calculator: I don’t know about the US, but here in Canada we get transferrable and retainable tuition tax credits as well as tax credits on student loan interest. In my first working year, accumulated tuition credits from undergrad and grad school were enough to bring my m. tax rate down to

    MBA NPV calculator:

    I did my MBA part-time, ie, I continued to work full-time in my professional position I obtained after undergrad. My company also paid for most of my MBA; I paid about $2000.00 out of pocket.

    My program is also nationally ranked (16th).

    So your calculator is a great generalizer, but definately doesn’t consider specific scenarios. I would also guess that there are quite a few people out there with my same situation…
