Powell’s gets it
Powell’s Bookstore, just about 45 minutes from my house (the Burnside location…the Beaverton location is a bit closer), is a mecca for readers. You’re taking your life in your own hands if you try parking your massive SUV in their tiny vertical parking lot, but otherwise it’s a great place to spend the day.
Now I see, via Business Logs, that Powell’s is offering a quiver of RSS feeds. Imagine that! A real bookstore that actually gets it. And if you think Powell’s is somehow a sideshow to the real-deal McBookstore down the street from you, think again. Check their list of author interviews. Check their calendar of events (Anne Lamott will be there next month). This is a bookstore to end all bookstores.
