Slacker Manager

Corporate climate surveys

by Bren on November 15th, 2004

This is right outta the "digging up my past" department.  I ran across this link to a whitepaper I wrote (.doc) for the Society for Human Resource Management on "Developing and Delivering Climate Surveys and Employee Satisfaction Surveys via Corporate Intranet."  Gah.  Dry.

I also found an archived copy of a seminar presentation I did on the same topic for a Linkage conference in LA a few years ago.  You’re gonna have to pay for that one, though, ’cause, you know, only the best appear in a Linkage program.  :-)

I actually re-read what I wrote about surveys and it’s still pretty useful stuff, if you work in a huge company where such measurements are needed/wanted.  I guess even in a small department like where I am now, these measurements could be useful.  But the truth is, these days I’m much more inclined to keep my finger on the pulse by walking around than by delivering some e-survey to six people.
