Google Chrome is Gold on My Computer: Less Slack for a Slacker
This Chrome is Gold
by David Zinger. I have been using both Internet Explorer and Firefox on my Window XP computer. I installed Google Chrome this evening and was amazed at the speed of my surfing. You can access the free browser here: http://www.google.com/chrome. I would love to hear what you think and what your experience has been (I expect some falls and glitches) but so far for me…the surf is up!

I don’t like the interface though. But i know simple = best. However in this case i would prefer some skins or templates for this new browser.

It has been fast so far and it does seem kind of light but so far I feel a bit like a fan. As Google gets bigger and bigger will we see a lot more backlash?

I still don’t get the value of chrome unless you buy a stripped down laptop for 200USD only loaded with chrome. But when you are using Windows Vista, in my case enterprise, there’s a lot of surf speed booster available in the market which also include routers with pre-built caching to make surfing fast. Why would I trade a robust client experience with a jurassic chrome experience. I do plan to buy an ultra mobile cheap laptop, around 4-5 inches in size which I would use as my 4th or 5th pc, that is where chrome makes sense.

i’m willing to try it out just to see if it works more efficiently than FireFox… if it’s faster than Firefox and isn’t IE, then i’ll use it

Thanks for the input and my computers just aren’t up to speed. I like having options of using any of the 3 browsers.

I agree that Chrome is the new gold standard. It’s fast and I haven’t seen any bugs yet. I have encountered 1 compatibility issue but, I’m sure that will be fixed in time.
