Leaving October 30th. I am leaving Slacker Manager on October 30th of this year. I know I am leaving Slacker Manager in good hands with Phil Gerbyshak.

wave goodbye

200 Posts and a big thank you. I look forward to another 6 weeks of postings. Phil and I each post 3 times a week and I don’t think we ever failed to achieve our 6 posts a week. I now have about 19 more posts. I have been writing Slacker Manager for over a year. I don’t know the exact number but it will be close to 200 posts by the time I finish. I appreciated Phil’s partnership and the assistance of Kelly Phillip Erb, our B5 media channel editor. I also want to thank B5 media and Bren for giving me the opportunity to do this.

Best part - your comments. It has been great to write this blog and I have especially loved the comments from readers. You have made this time very worthwhile to me. I have decided to keep a tighter focus on my offline work and to also have a tight focus for my online work.

You can still find me at… If you like my approach or writing I encourage you to keep connected by reading Employee Engagement Zingers   joining The Employee Engagement Network or remembering to die happy at  Die Happy Today.

Hey David. I had this hint from you so wasn’t too surprised to see this news. I wanted to thank you for such a large volume of excellent posts and thought provoking questions and contents you’ve had for some time at Slacker Manager.

I kind of snickered when you mentioned having more time for offline work (and then online too) since I know how time consuming this activity can be. Anyway, I’ll continue to find you at you’re at your other sites, as well as to read Phil’s articles here at slacker manager and just wanted to thank you here for all the encouragement and knowledge you have helped to inspire in me.

    Good luck!

Taking your own advice. Well done. If I decide to study management you will definitely be seeing me on your blogs. I may still decide to specialise - its 50/50. If I don’t see you again - thanks for the inspiration.

Ah, David, you will be missed! Yes, I’ll see you “over there,” but it’s not the same as having you in the family:)

I wish you all the best, take care and don’t be afraid of that birght light in the off-line world–it’s called the sun!

    Mike, Corinne, and Miki:
Thanks for taking time to comment. I will be here for 6 more weeks but my management heart will always be here.

David - I know we talked offline, but I want to let you know publicly how much I’ve appreciated your partnership, friendship, and insights. I’ve learned much from you, and I’ll continue to learn more from you as time passes.

You’re not leaving me…just changing your role in my life.

Here’s to your continued success! May you never too busy to do a little Slacking!

    Heather,
I don’t have a list but I sure have a ton of books that I read or look at. Do you have a list? I’d love to see it.

I have said this to you privately but I will also say publicly that I am so sad to see you go. You’re a talented writer and Phil and you are such a great team. When I first came to b5, I was *psyched* to have you in my channel - I was like, yeah, I know the guys from Slacker Manager.

You have been nothing but kind and professional for the whole time we’ve worked together. You will be missed.

    Kelly,
You are very kind. I have not always been easy even if I have been kind. I have respected your support and calming me down when I thought something was not right.

You can bet that I will seek your insights at your other locations.

Good luck with your new focus. I’ll see you on the blogosphere.

    Don,
Thanks for your comments and I am glad you will continue to follow some of my write. Slacker Manager has been a great blog to write for and I need to do other work so something had to be cut back.
