Humor is in the Eye of the Beholder
Recently I’ve seen a few folks question our sense of humor at Slacker Manager, and they’ve asked if this is some sort of joke blog or something. Others haven’t seen the humor of our ways, and have taken things very personally, as though we are trying to attack their management style.
To all of those comments, and any others who don’t understand or appreciate our humor, I am sorry. I would offer up this bit of advice for you as well: Humor is in the eye of the beholder. What you think is funny, I might not, and vice versa. Some things resonate really well with you, and some things do with me.
I encourage you the reader to continue to share your opinions with us in the comments, though I also encourage you to lighten up and not take management (or Slacker Manager) too seriously. If you’re not having fun, then why are you doing it.
Thanks for your loyal readership. If you’d like to try your hand at a guest post or two, please send it to me at phil.gerbyshak@b5media.com Unless you are downright mean or blatantly self-promotion, I will share your post with our readers, and defend your right to your sense of humor or management.
Thanks to Stephen Smith, Doug Kotecki, Mike Kanazawa, Michael Lee Stallard and all the other guest posters who’ve shared their hearts and sometimes humor with us here at Slacker Manager. I appreciate your different points of view, and I hope that others will be encouraged to speak their mind by leaving comments or sharing articles.

Phil,
I guess you are saying keep your eye and I on Slacker Manager. I have always liked the modified serenity prayer by Jane N.
God grant me the laughter to see the past with perspective, face the future with hope, and celebrate today without taking myself too seriously.

Who takes a blog called Slacker Manager seriously! I wonder if this is part of the anoyminity that we feel sitting behind our computer screen and just not “getting it” Slacker Manager it is in theTITLE.
Lighten up and laugh!
