A Tiny Secret: Small is Significant
Stand Tall with Small by David Zinger
It is unfortunate that we equate small with insignificant. We have so much going on in our management and personal lives that to take on a new initiative or project or to coach a team or organize a neighbourhood function seems too daunting so we do nothing. If we stopped for a moment, we would realize we can do something small and significant on any of these 4 demands.

I teach a lot of management courses. There are so many good ideas and practices in what I teach yet I think many participants leave the session and do nothing.
Not because they were resistant or did not see value but because it just seemed like another big item on an already overflowing productivity plate.
For inspiration, read Curt Rosengren’s Small Things / Big Impact.
Just for today, think small and significant not small or significant.
- What is something important to you right now?
- What is the smallest yet most significant thing you can do on that project or with the relationship?
- Make the important things in your life urgent by keeping them small enough to do and significant enough to matter.
Don’t just start small, keeping being SMALL AND SIGNIFICANT.
