Are you a hungry manager?
Are you hungry? What are you hungry for as a manager in 2008.
This post originated from a December of too much eating, gaining weight, and losing energy. Gluttony seemed to be the order of the day from a huge turkey dinner on Christmas to a 5 course meal on New Year’s eve. It all tasted very good but it was not very nourishing for my way of life. I felt full and lazy as I gained about 6 pounds.

I have decided to be hungry for 2008, not so much physically hungry - although that won’t hurt - as psychologically and business hungry. By this I mean, I won’t get too full, I will have a real appetite for my work, and I will approach work with a “hungry” attitude - eager desire and keen appetite.
I encourage you as you begin 2008 to start off hungry.
What are you hungry for in 2008?
- an exciting new project
- career advancement
- new business relationships or partners
- learning a vital new skill
- better work/life balance
- a new working environment
- better results
- a stronger team
- perhaps even hungry to work at projects to feed those people who are really hungry and living without enough food
I am hungry to read your comments and I wish you a strong appetite for your management development in 2008.

Supersize? Nuh. Must be focused to stay in good shape. Biting more than I can chew is sure recipe for failure.

Okay,
I always liked the old statement about writing: Bite off very little and chew a great deal.
All the best with success.

Thanks for the asking a most appropriate question.
This year I am going to focus on creating new ‘management’ related products and all profits from my first one will go to charity.

All the best with your product and I am inspired by your desire and will to have the profits from the first one go to charity. Let me know when the first product is created.
