What Are Your Favorite Management Blogs (your responses)
As a follow up to my Ask the Expert question from a few week’s back about What Are Your Favorite Management Blogs, I thought I’d share what we got from you, the experts who read Slacker Manager every day!
Mike King shared the following:
http://www.genuinecuriosity.com is a favorite of mine. Not a high number of posts (which I like) but all great quality.
Also http://www.damngoodmanager.com which is brand new has some, so far at least, great content.
Paul Holmstrom shared these links:
Two additional favourites from me:
Management Issues and Mission Minded Management
and I am just cranking up my own English speaking blog after having blogged in Swedish for years Management Unplugged
Jim Bullock shared:
David Maister’s blog. In a community of knowledge workers, there’s lots to learn from the management of service firms.
“Trust Matters” by Charles Greene:

“Focused Performance” by Frank Patrick:

Bob Sutton’s “Work Matters”

Some good sources here. I also like:
http://kentblumberg.typepad.com/kent_blumberg/
http://www.thepracticeofleadership.net/
I’d like to recommend my other blog, www.MAPpingCompanySuccess.com. It deals with company culture, communications, hiring, motivation and retention. I’m told that it’s useful and the ideas and approaches are easy to put into practice. See y’all there.
Let me offer two of my daily reads:
Jim Stroup at www.managingleadership.com
Wally Bock at www.threestarleadership.com
These guys consistently turn out thought pieces that combine their years of real managerial/consulting experiences with good research and common sense.
I forgot one. If you happen to work in technology “Rands In Repose” is probably a must read. Sorry I forgot that one. http://www.randsinrepose.com/
If you have more, please share them below. We’re trying to make this community as much fun and helpful as possible, and your sharing goes a LONG way to doing that, as reading and learning from others’ mistakes is the sign of a great slacker manager!
