The Perfect Slacker Chair
One of the coolest things about writing this blog is that people send me cool stuff to read and, if it’s good, to share a review with you. Usually I just get management books to review, and though I appreciate that VERY MUCH, I’ve always hoped for more. Like an office chair or a big screen TV.
A few weeks back, one of my dreams came true and I was asked to review the Sumo Omni Chair. OK, chair is not the right word; it’s more like a super plush bean bag. I got it from UPS, and it was HUGE and sitting on my porch. Thankfully, it wasn’t very heavy so I didn’t need help to get it in my house.
I ripped it out of the box, and I plopped it in front of my TV, in hopes I’d have some time to enjoy my new gift.
Then I went out of town for a week. I had hoped Mrs. Slacker (no, that’s not her, this is a stock photo) would use it while I was gone, but no luck, or should I say, I’m super lucky, because she couldn’t fall in love with this and claim it from me.
When I got home from that week away, I decided to watch some TV in my sumo lounge chair. Ah, now that’s a GREAT way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I sat up and enjoyed the Packers game in my new chair. Sweet comfort!
And then, when the game was done, I moved the chair around a bit, and the perfect slacker chair became the perfect slacker couch. VERY nice.
If you’re looking for a new super-comfortable chair for your living room, I’d recommend the sumo bean bag chair. You might even want to pick up the Sumo Otto, to offer your significant other somewhere to sit, or so you can kick your feet up and be even more comfortable while you cheer on your favorite team or watch your favorite TV show. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to sit back in my Sumo Chair and enjoy the rest of my Sunday.

Wow, I’m normally opposed to ‘college student chic’ (I have enough Ikea already!), but this looks very tempting — I have a very small and tightly arranged living room, and I need more seating, but full-size traditional furniture (such as a proper love seat or easy chair) is pretty much out of the question due to space. I usually have to resort to floor pillows. Do you think this could seat two (cosy or otherwise), if arranged sort of couch-ishly? This is really tempting, because I could totally shove it out of the way when I need more floor space.
Also, what chances would you give the nylon versus tiny sharp kitten claws? :) I know it says rip-proof, but… cats always find a way.

It does look very comfortable and an excellent excuse to take some time off work. I would think it would be great for two people to sit together on the floor.
