Fark’d again
Looks like I’ve been "fark’d" again. The last time was a while ago on the main blog, and this time it’s the AllBusiness.com blog that’s taking the hit. I still can’t get over the sheer number of people that site pushes around.
Welcome Farkers!

Any response to the comments on fark? ie: interpreted as a hangover-related excuse? If you’re willing to take time off maybe you’re not that interested in your job? etc…

I think any response I might have is probably covered in the lengthy comment thread in the original post. But just for the record, if you pull it on Monday then you shouldn’t be surprised if it’s construed as a hangover. And if you’re doing it with any regularity, you probably do need to take a hard look at whether you’re still interested in your job.

I was two hours late today with the worst excuse in the world: I forgot to set my alarm clock. I should have made something else up because no one ever buys the alarm clock story.
Mind you, I’ve already given notice here so it’s not like I really care.

For you salaried folks out there, here’s a tip. The law states (that is FEDERAL law) that, if you use up all of your sick days, the company still has to pay you a full eight hours even if you go home sick after one hour. You do have to come in for that hour, though. Nothing less will do.
Pretty awesome, eh?
I don’t know about you, but I have to take my mental health days here and there. I average about one a month. Occasionally I’ll even call in two days in a row, just so it looks like I REALLY am sick. I try to time those with flu outbreaks. But the best excuse for a one-day mental break is migraines. Everyone sympathizes, but you don’t have to come in the next day carrying a box of kleenex or otherwise ‘faking’ the getting-better routine.
