LibraryThing rocks
I just ran into LibraryThing. It. Is. So. Cool.
You can quickly create a catalog of your entire personal library of books. Complete with tagging! I know this is super nerdy and only for the book lovers, but my gosh I am just digging this. This is my new timesink.
Ever since I got a Mac, I’ve been contemplating Delicious Library. No more. This’ll do. And if you’ve already got Delicious Library, you can import your data to LibraryThing!
BTW, this is me on LibraryThing (so far, I’ve just cataloged the books sitting on a table in the living room).

Pretty cool….except delicious will handle books, movies, Cd’s, games, and you can use a iSight camera to enter the barcodes…no typing, plus it’s integration with Mail and iCal are really nifty as well. But then it’s not free either.

Thanks Bren, I’ll give this a try. I’ve been using endnote bibliography (www.endnote.com) to keep track of all my articles. I find it really cool for this as you can download the reference (including abstract) when you download the article from university data bases. It’s also meant to be useful for referencing work in your own articles (but yet to get it working nicely!)

Michael,
I noticed that too… too bad I didn’t come up with that idea. It’s a great way to get a *whole lot* of extra clicks and probably lots of sales.
Seems just a bit dirty to me…

I would also give http://www.listal.com a thumbs up. Very nice design and handles multiple types of items besides books.
