The New, Revised Personal MBA
A quick pointer to what appears to be Josh Kaufman’s final version of the Personal MBA. It’s a great reading list and I think it could really be expanded with additional commentary and excercises. Josh is working on that with the Personal MBA website, which looks like it’s getting a good start.
Josh says that the manifesto proposal on ChangeThis has been approved and ought to be up there soon.

It’s a great list Bren and a real help to managers at every level. And I agree that one can get all the help of a “B” school by reading the right authors.
I’d love however to see a short list of the books these great authors believe are “must reading.” Every manager needs a foundation of the giants on whose shoulders authors (like Godin, Gladwell and others on the list) stood in order that they might see further.

What’s your take on a real MBA? I had originally intended to start this September after being accepted to a few places, but have elected to delay a year. There seems to be a wide variety of opinions on the utility of that degree, especially when it’s not coming from a top school.
