Turning off the lights
Well, it looks like I’m going to have to shut down Slacker Manager.
Either that or I’m going to be fired from my border guard job for blogging. So I’m going to need use the blog to help find myself a new job–anybody hiring, or just want to become what I like to call my "microbenefactors"? Actually, if I get fired for blogging, I’m thinking of just hosting a whole mess of high dollar articles and squeezing the heck out of Google ads. Then I’m going to write the worldwide best seller definitive guide to using blogging technology to harness the power of The Long Tail in cloud seeding above developing nations. It’s complex, but manageable once we get some VC (geez, I hope Fred Wilson reads this). And check this out: I’m going to invent a special technology that allows people to actually record sounds and "broadcast" them using the power of the internets. Then, I’ll do the same thing with pictures and even video. And on your phone. I can hardly wait for me to do all this stuff!
I’ve got some other plans too, but I can’t really talk about them right now. Well not much, anyway. I can say this though. My plans involve famous people that you’ve heard of and revolutionary technology that looks totally like old skool hula hoops. My marketing plan involves trucker hats and Ashton Kutcher. But I can’t really say much more than that. In fact, I may have said too much already.

What?!? Shutting down?? Do you think this will be resolved by, oh I don’t know, maybe April 2nd? ;) If not, I think your idea of using the Internet as a communication medium has merit, and is just crazy enough to work.

“My marketing plan involves trucker hats and Ashton Kutcher”
Every marketing plan should involve Ashton Kutcher! Good job looking forward to the new project!
Good luck!
P.S.
I love exclamation marks!

Someone needs to buy the border patrol a stack of copies of the “ClueTrain”. Then someone needs to take out a yellow highlighter, find April 1, and drag it over any text that might be pre-printed in that box.
Good One. For a minute there, I thought you were someone else. Except that person is pretty vocal about his master plan(s). ;-)

You had me for a few minutes until I looked at the calendar, and the Ashton line. I think I just got Punk’d.

I leave town for a couple of days and look what happens. I can’t leave any of you GTD bloggers alone for a minute!
