Light week for posting
I think this’ll be a rather light week for posting. I’ve got to finish up the PowerPoint makeover–I’ve totally been dragging my feet on that thing. Sorry, Cliff!
Also, I’ve got to write an expanded table of contents for the Slacker@Work book. I’ve already given the publisher a full outline, but they also need a version that contains subheadings and has page counts and due dates. Gotta get that done this week and it’s taking longer than I’d anticipated. Speaking of the book, it’s still not set in stone (read: no contract yet), but it’s getting closer. This is pretty much the last thing I need to do before the publisher can give me a definitive answer.
So it’s with great interest that I read Joe Wikert’s recent entry about how important this part is for authors. I don’t want to blow it, so I’m going to put in adequate time to make it as good as it can be. Don’t know whether I’ll go for his suggestion to post the outline on the blog, though…maybe…

Though I’ve been visiting your blog regularly, today was the first time I clicked on your Slacker@work manifesto. I realized I needed to update my thinking on just what a slacker is. I figure any day I learn something new is a good day, so that makes this a good day already. Thanks!
